dc.description.abstract This study explored the lived experiences of student nurses on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots in their nursing education at Lorma Colleges, City of San Fernando, La Union. The researchers employed a qualitative phenomenological design and conducted face-to face, semi-structured interviews with 13 purposively selected student nurses. Thematic analysis was used to interpret and analyze the data. Three major themes emerged: "Filaments of Wonders," highlighting the positive contributions of AI in enhancing learning efficiency, conceptual clarity, and self-directed learning; "Phantom's Frayed Strings," which exposed issues of overreliance, cramming behaviors, and misinformation risks; and "Mending the Broken Threads," reflecting the coping strategies and adaptive measures students developed to address the challenges brought by AI use. The study concluded that while AI chatbots offer substantial academic benefits, responsible usage, and critical evaluation are necessary to maximize their potential and preserve essential nursing competencies. Programs promoting digital literacy and balanced learning strategies are recommended. en_US
