dc.description.abstract The study determined the level of pain assessment and pain management competencies of staff nurses in selected tertiary hospitals of the City of San Fernando, La Union namely Lorma Medical Center, !locos Training and Regional Medical Center and Bethany Hospital. The descriptive type of research was applied in this study; the researcher documented 205 staff nurses. The researcher included 84 patients who participated in the data gathering. en_US
