dc.description.abstract The study determined the extent of manifestation of the caring behavior of staff nurses to surgical clients in the tertiary hospitals of the City of San Fernando, La Union. The descriptive method of research was employed in this study. The researcher utilized a questionnaire and as the main data gathering tool. Weighted mean was utilized in the analysis of data, on the extent of manifestation of the caring behavior of staff nurses, and the level of effectiveness of the caring behaviors on the rehabilitation as experienced by surgical clients. For the strengths and weaknesses on the extent of manifestation of caring behaviors of staff nurse, all indicators with a weighted mean of 4. 20 to 5.00 were considered strengths while those with a weighted mean of 4.19 and below were considered weaknesses. en_US
