dc.description.abstract The study determined the client's knowledge on diabetes mellitus type II and compliance with treatment regimen in the City Health Office of San Fernando City, La Union. The respondents are not adequately educated or informed regarding diabetes mellitus specifically on the risk factors, manifestations and complications. The respondents are not fully compliant on the treatment regimen of their disease. The sufficiency and deficiency of knowledge along risk factors, manifestations, complications and compliance with treatment regimen along diet, exercise and medication/ other treatment were identified and was used as basis for the development of an Information Education Campaign (IEC) material for diabetes mellitus type II clients. en_US
