Abstract:
This study was conducted to determine the needs satisfaction among nurses in
the City of San Fernando, La Union. The descriptive method of research was used with
a researcher-made questionnaire as the primary data gathering tool. The
questionnaire was distributed to a sample of 125 nurses randomly selected at Ilocos
Training and Regional Medical Center, Lorma Medical Center and La Union Medical
Diagnostic Center and Hospital. Weighted means were used to identify needs
satisfaction among the respondents in terms of physiological; safety and security; love
and belonging; esteem and self-esteem; and self-actualization, and to determine the
least and most satisfied needs of the nurses.
